The occupational skills training units are non-validated courses that have been designed to enable staff to enhance their competencies across a range of disciplines. The trainer led competencies complement recent developments in on the job assessment.

The operation of programme will commence with the identification of a strategy designed to enhance and improve interchangeability. The programmes will commence with trainer let skills training and then will be followed by assessment in a related plant activity.

Each unit contains the workbooks necessary for the subject area. The trainer is provided with a Trainer Guide which containes: Notes, OHPs and where necessary 35 mm slides.
